We met in the most random but perfect way. I was back “home” in South Africa visiting family, since I moved to the UK and only come back about once a year. Luckily my trip happened to be at the same time as my cousin’s 21st birthday party.
At some point during the night I ended up jumping into a random car with some of my cousin’s friends to drive to the bottle store, and that’s where I met Jordan. We introduced ourselves, and somehow on the way back I ended up getting into his car instead. Even though we were both a little tipsy and just having fun, we talked the whole drive and instantly clicked — it was that crazy butterfly feeling you can’t explain.
The rest of the night we basically acted like boyfriend and girlfriend even though we had only just met. He slept over, and I even gave up my bed to sleep on the couch with him because we didn’t want the night to end. Two days later we went on our first real date, and after that we saw each other every single day.
I ended up staying at his house, spending all day together for five days straight. Now we’re officially together, completely in love, doing long distance between the UK and South Africa, and we’ve already planned a trip to the Netherlands in a month and a half to see each other again.
Somehow that random night at a bottle store led me to my soulmate.
