Our Long-Distance Love Story – India 🇮🇳 to Italy 🇮🇹
My long-distance partner’s name is Alfi, and I am from India. Our journey started in a very unexpected and simple way. We met on January 2, 2023, at a driving class. It was a normal day, and neither of us knew that this small meeting would turn into something so special. After just two days of meeting him, I had to move to Chennai, while he stayed back in India.
Even though distance started very early in our story, we stayed in touch and kept talking. In March 2023, I went to see him for one day, and in April, he came to Chennai to meet me. Those small meetings meant a lot to us because we were slowly building our bond and understanding each other better.
Later, he went to Italy to pursue his education, which turned our relationship into a long-distance one. In January 2024, he came back to India for a short time, and we met again. He visited me for one day in February, March, and April, and those short moments together made our relationship even stronger.
In May, he went back again in Italy, and since then we have been in a long-distance relationship. Even though we are far apart, we try to keep our connection alive in small and meaningful ways. We watch movies together, play Minecraft and Ludo, sometimes draw together, share our thoughts and ideas, and play fun question games to understand each other better. These little activities help us feel close even when we are miles away. Our time zones are different, but we still try to make time for each other every day. We believe that love is not about distance; it is about effort, patience, and understanding.
Our time zone is like a 4 and a half hour difference. Sometimes long distance gets hard because we can’t get to hug or touch when we are facing bad days and all.
We fight a lot, but at last, at the end of the day, we choose each other.
