Privacy Policy

LDR Date is run by Vanessa Mora and Mehrad — two people, not a data company. We collect the minimum we need to make and deliver your gift, and we never sell your information.

What we collect

• When you order: your name, email, country and payment status. Card details go straight to Stripe, our payment processor — we never see the full number.
• To build your gift: the photo you upload, the message you write and, if you choose partner delivery, your partner’s name and email.
• When you browse: essential cookies that keep your cart and login working, plus Google Analytics cookies that tell us which pages are useful. Saved dates live on your own device unless you log in.
• When you write to us: whatever you include in the message, so we can reply.
• When you use a form: to keep out spam, our contact, story, sign-up, log-in and password-reset forms use Google reCAPTCHA. It sends Google your IP address and details about your browser and how you use the page, and may set a cookie. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

How we use it

• Building and delivering your gift, and sending your receipt, private link and order updates.
• Answering support emails and fixing anything that went wrong.
• Featuring your puzzle on our Instagram — only if you ticked the permission box when ordering.

Your photos and messages

They are used for one thing: making your gift. Files are stored on our secure servers for 90 days so we can re-send or fix your link, then deleted. We do not sell them, use them to train anything, or share them with other companies.

Who we share data with

Only the services that run this shop, each for its own job:

• Stripe takes your payment.
• Our email provider and hosting company send our emails and keep the site running.
• Google counts visits (Google Analytics), keeps spam out of our forms (reCAPTCHA) and plays our animated emoji.
• Trustpilot receives your name, email, order number and what you ordered, so it can invite you to review us.
• Instagram shows our latest reels on the homepage; they load from Instagram’s servers.

Each follows its own privacy policy. Nobody else gets your data, and we never sell it.

Your rights

Email us anytime to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to withdraw Instagram permission. We reply within 7 days. LDR Date is for adults — we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Terms of Service

By ordering from ldrdate.ca or using our date ideas, you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.

Digital products only

Everything in our shop is a digital experience delivered as a private link. Nothing ships, there is nothing to install, and links can be replayed as often as you like.

Delivery

Private links are delivered by email within 24 hours of payment. If you chose a delivery date, we send it that day. If it hasn’t arrived, check your spam folder first — then email us and we’ll resend it right away.

Your content

• You confirm you own, or have permission to use, any photo you upload — and that everyone in it is okay with appearing.
• We refuse content that is abusive, hateful, harmful or sexually explicit, and we’ll refund you if we can’t build your gift for that reason.
• Puzzles don’t have to be of couples: families, friends, pets and art are all welcome.

Using your gift

Links are personal to you and your recipient. Share them with your partner, family or friends — just please don’t resell them or post them publicly.

Our content and third-party tools

Date ideas and blog posts are free to enjoy and share with a link back to us; please don’t republish them elsewhere. Many ideas link to apps and websites we don’t control — their terms apply once you leave ldrdate.ca, and we can’t guarantee their availability.

Changes

We may update these terms as the shop grows. The date at the top of this page tells you when they last changed.

Refund Policy

Personalized digital gifts can’t be returned, so our refund policy is built around timing — and around making things right if we get something wrong.

Before we start building

Changed your mind? Email us within 12 hours of ordering. If we haven’t started on your gift yet, you get a full refund — no questions asked.

After your link is delivered

Once your private link has been sent, the gift is yours and we can’t refund it. It can be replayed and re-sent anytime, so nothing is lost if the first attempt at a surprise goes sideways.

If something is wrong

• A typo we introduced, a broken link, a photo that came out wrong, or the wrong message revealed — email us within 7 days.
• We will fix it or remake it for free, usually within 24 hours.
• If we genuinely can’t make it right, we refund you in full.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to your original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
