For example, try ranking:
- 🍟 Fast-food restaurants
- 🍫 Chocolate bars
- 🍕 Pizza toppings
- 🎬 Movies
- 📺 TV shows
- 🎭 Movie or TV characters
- 🎮 Video games
- 🎵 Music artists
- 🥤 Soft drinks
- 🍬 Candy
- 🏖️ Vacation destinations
- 🐶 Dog breeds
- 👟 Clothing or fashion brands
- 🎄 Christmas movies
Choose a tier list and have one person share their screen so you can both see the rankings and decide where everything should go together.
S Tier is the highest possible ranking and is reserved for the absolute best of the best. After S Tier, the rankings move down through A, B, C, D, and F, with F Tier usually representing the worst or your least favorite.
For example, if you’re ranking food:
- S Tier: Your absolute favourite. You would get it every time.
- A Tier: Really good, but not quite the best.
- B Tier: Good and you’d happily eat it.
- C Tier: Average. Nothing special.
- D Tier: Not very good and you probably wouldn’t choose it.
- F Tier: The worst. You’d avoid it if possible.
Before moving an item, both of you should say which tier you think it belongs in.
For example:
“McDonald’s fries?”
One of you might immediately say S Tier, while the other thinks they belong in B Tier.
Explain why you chose your ranking and try to convince your partner to agree with you. If you disagree, you can debate until you reach a decision, take turns having the final say, or compromise and put the item somewhere in the middle.
Continue until you’ve ranked every item on the list.
Once you’re finished, look at your completed tier list together. Talk about your biggest disagreements, the rankings that surprised you, and the answers you already knew your partner was going to give.
Save or screenshot your final tier list so you can look back at it later!
